As you become more familiar with the system, you can change what is displayed on your screen by utilizing views to tailor the system to fit your needs. Views allow you to save your settings (columns displayed, group and sort options, search filters) on a particular module for quick access later, is it a frequently-used configuration that can be accessed within a specific module.
There are two different types of views:
Personal Views - Available at the user level.
System Views - Available at the organization level (specified by creator), system views are created and maintained by the System Administrator.
The view menu is organized by:
- Top Section: Personal Views (In the below example: NRD Digital, Sandown 500)
- Middle Section: System Views (In the below example: 1. All Race Days, 2. Caulfield Race Days, 3. Ladbrokes Park Race Days, 4. Mornington Race Days, All Events - Last 30 Days / Forward)
- Bottom Section: Tools needed to create, manage, and share views.
Standard users are able to create and save new personal views.
To create a new personal view, first define a specific set of search criteria. Once you are satisfied with the
results, mouse over the view button, and click Save as New View.
The Save View window will populate and the view will need to be given a unique name. Once this has been done, click OK to save.
If you receive an error message that reads "User: {Your Name} ({Your Account Code}) restricted by access privilege: Allow Add/Edit/Delete System Views and Favourites", please follow the steps in this article.
The view is now available within the view menu on your module screen. To choose that view from this dropdown, hover over the View button and select the new view.
