Adding Accounts
To add a new account into Ungerboeck, you must conduct an adequate search to ensure you will not be creating a duplicate record.
Once you have confirmed that there is not an existing account in the database, click on the Add button from Accounts - All.
The first step in creating a new account accurately completing all mandatory fields such as Name, Postal Code, City, State, Country, Address (these fields are marked with an asterisk, and you will not be able to save a new account unless these fields are completed).
Do not update the A/R Control field as this is automatically updated overnight.
Once the information has been saved in your Ungerboeck system, the Account Code will automatically be generated.
Once the account has been added, the option will be available to assign additional information such as additional addresses (click on the Add hyperlink next to the Addresses field label), phone number, website, type and market segment. You can also add information to the various tabs available on the account.
Once you are ready to save the account the below workflow buttons are available at the bottom of the window (from left to right):
- OK - Save and close the window.
- Save and Add Activity - Save the account and add an activity.
- Other save options - Choose another action to do after saving.
- Floppy Disk Icon - Save the work completed and remain in the current window.
- Cancel - Close the window without saving the work.
