Setting Warnings and Holds on Accounts/Contacts
Please note that specific users within the finance team can set warnings or holds on accounts; however this information is beneficial to all users to explain what each means.
When editing an account/contact, you can place a Warning or Hold on the account/contact. Warnings and holds provide information to users about special circumstances of an account. If a hold is placed on an account, it will prevent orders from being added.
In order to add a warning/hold to an account, first search for the account.
Once you have located the account, use the quick actions menu to the left of the account name and go to Tools > Set Hold/Warn Status.
Within the Set Hold/Warn window, you can now choose which option to set. You can also enter a note in the text field.
Once you have made the appropriate selections and entered a note, Click the OK button to set the Hold/Warn status. The hold/warn will now be shown on the account as shown in the below screenshot.
To remove the Hold/Warn status, repeat the steps though select the hold order 'None'.
