Multi Factor Setup
MFA Registration process
Step 1: When you login with your @mrc email address a message will pop up requesting more information, click next.
Step 2: Select a method (Text/App/Call) to verify your account and then select setup
(We recommend using the Mobile App, Microsoft Authenticator)
Step 3: Download the Microsoft authenticator App from either the App Store or the Playstore
Step 4a (if using the app, Microsoft Authenicator): Click on work or school account and scan the barcode and hit next. Approve the request on the app
Step 4b (if using text): Enter in your mobile phone number and enter in the code you received
You have now activated MFA, this will need to be done once per device for any Office Sign in (e.g. Outlook on your laptop, Mail on your phone or word on your home computer)
To reset your Multi Factor Authorisation go to:
https://mysignins.microsoft.com/
Select Security Info
Add Method - Authenticator App, Phone or App Password
Or Delete/Change your current method.
If you do not have access to your 2FA method you will need to contact ITSupport
MFA will also be required to have a configuration through our VPN - Cisco AnyConnect
To do so, select "MFAVPN" from the "Group:" dropdown list when logging in
This will open an additional window;
Login with your credentials and it will ask you to verify your account by sending a code to your mobile, enter the code and you'll now be connected to the VPN with MFA enabled!
